Marriage contract of Fatimah Baygum Khanum and Karbalayi Muhammad Husayn, 1849
Marriage contract of Fatimah Baygum Khanum, the daughter of Mir Muhammad ‘Ali from Shiraz, and Karbalayi Muhammad Husayn, the son of Haj Muhammad Husayn the merchant; the mahr is one hundred and forty tumans, of which fifty tumans has been paid and the rest, in addition to thirty tumans (the price of a female slave), remains the groom's debt.

Marriage contract between Sakinah Sultan Khanum and ʻAli Aqa Bayg, 1867
Marriage contract between Sakinah Sultan Khanum, the daughter of Aqa ʻAbd Allah Bayg Afshar Qazvini, and ʻAli Aqa Bayg, the son of Husayn ʻAli Bayg Qarabaghi, dated July 13, 1867. The mahr is 260 tumans, of which the bride received 80 tumans and 180 tumans were charged to bridegroom. Of this 180 tumans, the value of 40 tumans was represented by the price of a female slave and 10 tumans were the price of a Qurʼan.

Marriage contract between Tarlan Khanum and Muhammad Baqir Khan Afshar, 1862
Marriage contract between Tarlan Khanum, the daughter of Haji ʻAbd al-Rahim, and Muhammad Baqir Khan Afshar, the son of Sarkhvush Khan, date June 23, 1862. The mahr includes part of the Kukah Kharaqan village in Qazvin, possession of which the bridegroom's father transferred to the bridegroom, one hundred tumans, and two Abyssinian slaves, one male and one female, who were each valued at 25 tumans.

Marriage contract between Gawhar Malik Khanum and Mirza Baqir Khan, 1891
Marriage contract between Gawhar Malik Khanum, daughter of Asad Allah Mirza, and Mirza Baqir Khan, son of Muʻin al-Saltanah, on October 21, 1891. Mahr is 1000 tumans, of which which 200 tumans is received as cash by the bride, and 100 tumans for the gift of a Qurʼan and the price of two slaves (a male and a female). The rest (700 tumans) remains the bridegroom's debt.

Marriage contract of Zahra Khanum and Muhammad Nasir Khan, 1876
Marriage contract of Zahra Khanum, the daughter of Haji Isma‘il Khan, and Muhammad Nasir Khan, the son of Hasanquli Khan Sartip [the brigadier general] Qajar; the mahr is one thousand and sixty tumans, of which twenty tumans is the price of a volume of Qur’an, forty tumans went to the purchase of a female slave, and the rest remains the groom's debt.

Marriage contract of Mah Parah Khanum and Sultan Husayn Mirza, 8 May 1854
Marriage contract between Mah Parah Khanum, daughter of Bahram Mirza and Sultan Husayn Mirza, son of Ahmad ‘Ali Mirza. The sidaq (mahr) includes 1,000 ashrafi tumans of 18 nukhud weight, a newly-minted Nasir al-Din shahi coin, a Qur’an worth 50 tumans, a male domestic slave [ghulam], and a female domestic slave [jariah], valued at fifty tumans each. Inscribed under the top decorative medallion is the name of Bahram Mirza, possibly the father of Shahzadah Sultan Husayn Mirza.

Marriage contract between Sakinah Khanum, the daughter of Aqa Muhammad Sadiq, and Aqa Muhammad Saʻid, the son of Aqa Ismaʻil, dated April or May 1825. The mahr is 60 tumans, a female slave worth 21 tumans, four sixths of a building in Fath Abad, two pieces of land in Vadasht, and a garden in Fath Abad. Marriage Contract of Surur al-Saltanah and Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk, 1909
Marriage Contract of Sughra Khanum Surur al-Saltanah, daughter of Khazin al-Mulk, and ‘Abd al-Husayn Khan Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk, son of Karim Dad Khan Salar. Mahr is a copy of the Qurʼan (valued at 100 tumans), a female slave (value of 70 tumans), and one thousand and five hundred tumans cash (that was presented), as well as some properties including the related water creeks, trees, and gardens in exchange for three thousand and five hundred tumans. The above was first deeded to the groom by his father and then, the groom included it in the Mahr for his wife.
